Libby Fulford enters her first season as assistant coach with the North Carolina Wesleyan softball program. After traveling extensively for work, she has returned to her alma mater and hometown and is thrilled to be working with our Battling Bishop pitchers and catchers.
As an undergraduate, Fulford was a First Team All-Conference pitcher for NCWC in 2008 after garnering USA South Rookie Pitcher of the Year accolades in 2005. A three-time Most Valuable Player for head coach John Brackett, she was also named Wesleyan's Female Student-Athlete of the Year on three occasions. Fulford owns numerous pitching records for the Bishops, including strikeouts in a season (158) and career (472), saves in a season (4) and career (7), appearances (107), and innings pitched (577.0).
A summa cum laude graduate, Fulford received her B.S. in Exercise Science from Wesleyan in 2008. She went on to earn her doctorate in physical therapy from East Tennessee State University and specializes in treating infants with industry-leading cranial orthotic devices.
