Russell Rouse enters his fourth season as an assistant coach with the North Carolina Wesleyan football program. A four-year letterwinner for the Battling Bishops on the defensive line, he made the transition to the sideline in 2008 as assistant secondary coach. This season, he will assist with the defensive line.

Rouse is a native of Kinston, N.C. and helped lead the Battling Bishops to a 23-17 overall record and 20-8 conference mark over his four seasons of play. He also helped lead Wesleyan to its first-ever USA South title and NCAA Playoff victory in the fall of 2007.

In addition to his coaching duties, Rouse has completed his bachelor's degree in education and now teaches full time.
