Tryouts for the 2017-2018 season will be held March 25-26, 2017!

CHEERLEADING

Preferred Requirements 

  • Tumbling - Handsprings, tucks, standing tucks, jumps to tucks, series handsprings
    (USASF tumbling levels 3-5)
  • Stunting - Flyers and Bases: Full-up prep and extension, double-ups, liberties, heel stretch/needle full-down and double-downs, arabesque, skater/scale 540-down
    (USASF stunting levels 3-5, Coed and All-Girl)
  • Jumps - Quad jump connected
    (any combo of 4 jumps)

General Requirements

  • Good sideline presence
  • Sharp motions
  • Versatility and school spirit
  • Commitment to cheer basketball AND football

* ALL SKILLS WILL BE CONSIDERED! 

Tryout will consist of learning a short dance, sideline cheers, stunting, jumping, and tumbling. Be prepared to stunt with several different groups doing several different positions. Dress Code - Black spandex (ex. Nike Pros), white top (t-shirt or tank top, no sports bras) hair half up/half down, cheer bow, clean, white cheer shoes.


DANCE

Preferred Requirements

  • Leaps & Jumps - Toe touches, regular leaps, side leaps, switch leaps, switch side leaps, barrel leaps, reverse leaps, surprise leaps
  • Turns: At least 1 eight count of straight leg fuettes, double pirouettes, preferably triple pirouettes
  • Flexibility: High kicks, catch and hold turns, tilt kicks, illusions, fan kicks
  • Pom elements, Hip-hop elements, Jazz elements

General Requirements 

  • Good sideline presence
  • Sharp motions
  • Versatility and school spirit
  • Commitment to dance basketball, competitions and other performances

* ALL SKILLS WILL BE CONSIDERED! 

Tryout will consist of learning a short dance and working specific dance skills. Dress Code - Black jazz pants, bikers, and capris are all acceptable. Black fitted tank-top or t-shirt. Please bring jazz shoes. Hair needs to be pulled back out of the face.
